The Challenge
Qanot Sharq Airlines have a highly complex supply chain for their fleet of Airbus aircraft, they currently operate 2 A320-200, 2 A321neo and 2 A330-200.
With many challenging factors airline procurement teams face issues with aircraft spare supply, logistical challenges, geopolitical and jet fuel to name but a few.
Qanot Sharq are a relatively new airline to the market, and having most of their aircraft spare suppliers in the UK & US, they had challenges with relying on multiple freight forwarders to ship their routine, critical and AOG shipments to their engineering facility in Tashkent.
They faced lack of visibility, uncontrollable freight costs and beyond par customer service.

The Solution
Our solution was to streamline their processes and minimise the amount of 3rd party logistics companies involved, by offering an expert account manager that works with the Qanot Sharq team, by reviewing each specific shipment and providing a tailored service to match the delivery expecations, whether that was Routine, Critical or AOG.
We also provided full visibility via our web based portal ScanCloud, our transport management systems (TMS) provides milestone updates along each point of the journey, which automatically notifies the customer by email. Vital documents are also stored on our secure server, such as customs, waybills, shipping invoices and customs documents can be viewed at a click of a button.
The Results
Some of the benefits realised from working with Scanlon Freight was control of freight spend and visibilty of shipments worldwide, by utilising not just our ScanCloud system but by having a dedicated account manager to talk with should there be a new challenge or providing real time updates on a delivery.
