The Challenge
ANP Pharma export their medical products worldwide, having an excess of 400 orders per month domestically & internationally, utilising a vast number of suppliers to handle the logistics, which caused issues with accuracy of information and visibility of shipments.
ANP Pharma utilise temperature controlled packaging material which is sustainable for 120 hours from being packed, which is a challenge in itself to ensure that shipments fly on express services, otherwise if for any reason the cargo is delayed or the vessel leaves port, they would need to bring back to their facility in the UK to replenish the stock, while sending out a new batch to the customer, which was causing more expense and delays to their client’s vessels.
The Solution
Our solution was to streamline their processes and minimise the amount of 3rd party logistics companies involved, by offering an expert account manager that works with the ANP Pharma team, by reviewing each specific shipment and providing a tailored service to match the delivery expecations.
We also provided full visibility via our web based portal ScanCloud, our transport management systems (TMS) provides milestone updates along each point of the journey, which automatically notifies the customer by email. Vital documents are also stored on our secure server, such as customs, waybills, shipping invoices and PODs can be viewed at a click of a button.
By leveraging our expertise in the time critical logistics arena, the client is able to focus on the main business of helping and supporting their customers and leaving the logistics to Scanlon Freight.
The Results
Some of the benefits realised from working with Scanlon Freight was control of freight spend and visibilty of shipments worldwide, by utilising not just our ScanCloud system but by having a dedicated account manager to talk with should there be a new challenge or providing real time updates on a delivery.
